The Yorktown Small Business Association is hosting the third annual Small Business Symposium, which will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday, May 29, at Mercy College’s Yorktown campus, 2651 Strang Blvd.

This year’s theme is entrepreneurship with a spotlight on women and minorities in business. Meet local elected officials, business owners, entrepreneurs, and area resources for small business. There will also be a continental breakfast, speakers—including Keynote Speaker George Latimer, Westchester County executive—networking, workshops, and a light lunch.

In addition to the keynote speaker, the lineup of speakers/presenters includes:

  • Michael Zarrilli, senior director of graduate admissions at Mercy College

  • Candice Baugh, career/vocational transition coordinator at Shrub Oak International School
  • Cheryl Sanchez, founder/CEO of TheNetWorks Organization and author of “The Journey of Success”

RSVP is recommended with a suggested $15 donation to benefit the YSBA Scholarship Fund. Workshop space is limited.
