Small businesses are the bedrock of our region’s economy, and that’s why we’re excited to offer the Equip series. These six sessions will offer training for small business owners on current issues that matter most. Sessions will be led by a local expert, ensuring the presenters will have firsthand experience with what works for our region.
Equip session topics this year will include: Taxes, Social Media, Marketing, Staffing, Technology & Networking.
Join us on March 19 from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at Dee Brown Library for the first Equip session of the year: The Small Business Owner’s Guide to Filing Taxes.
Taught by Michael C. Pridgeon, CPA, President & Owner of Eminent Financial Services, Inc., this session outline the laws for the federal taxes, including what forms to file, when to file, and where to file. Additionally, attendees will gain knowledge of organizational strategies for tax advantages and compliance matters (including the cost of non-compliance)
This session is open to all small business owners, and there is no cost to attend. Registration, however, is required. Light snacks will be provided. Additionally, there will be an activity setup during the program with the library’s Children’s Programmer should children need to tag along. Please email email@example.com should you need to bring your children.
