CEO Leadership & Training Academy wants to help would-be business owners to take the plunge and register their companies with the state of Texas.

The small business and startup consulting firm is hosting its CEO Head Start: 1 Day, 100 Businesses on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at NuWorld Epicenter (16800 Imperial Valley Drive). The event is designed to serve as a one-stop-shop for those wanting to open a business.

There will be workshops on topics that include marketing, finance and business structures. Vendors will be there to provide resources such as financing and business cards. And SCORE, a network of volunteers that mentor entrepreneurs, will have 10 people available to answer business questions.

The event costs $50, and those seeking to register their company should bring additional money for standard registration fees, which range from $25 for registering a nonprofit to $300 for registering an LLC.

Saturday’s festivities are also a launch event for the newly created CEO Leadership & Training Academy, which offers consulting sessions and step-by-step plans to help business owners reach their goals.
