Kellogg speaks at FPRA meeting
The Dick Pope/Polk County chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association will meet from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Jan. 16 at Frescos, 132 S. Kentucky Ave., Lakeland. Guest speaker is Lora Kellogg, certified franchisee executive, president and chief executive officer of Curious Jane. SCORE hosts scheduling workshop
Central Florida SCORE will host a Small Business Workshop on “How To Get Control of Your Schedule in 2019” Jan. 24 at the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce, 35 Lake Morton Drive. 7:45 a.m. donuts/coffee; 8-9:30 a.m. workshop. The workshop will be presented by Jared Weggland, president of Focus Realty Group KW Lakeland and vice president/partner at Focus Homes. Registration is 8:30 a.m.; workshop from 9-11 a.m. Pamela Starr, Google’s Get Your Business Online Trainer, will be the presenter. Starr is an accomplished sales leader, trainer and keynote speaker and has trained, coached and motivated more than 80,000 professionals in training sessions and keynote presentations. Leadership program slated for March
Emily Rogers of Emily Rogers Consulting + Coaching presents “Legacy Leadership: Living Your Purpose, Leaving Your Mark,” for forward-thinking leaders who want to lead with intention and create a lasting impact. The three-month program held March through May 2019 includes two half-day workshops held at the Centre Club Tampa, one-on-one coaching and a four-night/three-day retreat at the Four Seasons Rancho Encantado Resort in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Lakeland Chamber tour of Israel
The Lakeland Chamber of Commerce 2019 Israel Adventure guided tour takes place May 24 to June 2 and is led by Joe Davis, Ph.D., owner of The Israel Adventure. Davis, a theology professor from Southeastern University and former pastor, has extensive knowledge of Israel and its culture. The cost is $3,550 for 10 days and includes air to and from Israel, all tips, breakfasts and dinners, accommodations, tour guide, private bus, admission to all parks, camel rides, boat ride on Sea of Galilee and interaction with some of the leading voices in the Palestine/Israel area. Deposit of $350 is due by Jan. 2, $1,775 is due by Feb. 1 and full payment is due by March 1. Insurance is optional ($50 per person); visas are not required with U.S. passport.
