Center appoints Brandon Napoli new director

The Small Business Development Center of Santa Cruz County announced Monday that Brandon Napoli has been appointed the organization’s new director. Napoli will succeed outgoing Director Teresa Thomae, who is retiring effective April 1 after 28 years of service to the center.

Napoli is currently an adjunct business instructor at San Mateo College designing and teaching in-person and online business classes. He is also founder and CEO of Sacred Space, a co-working facility in Palo Alto that offers workforce development classes.

“I am looking forward to applying my small business, economic and workforce development expertise to helping entrepreneurs and small businesses in Santa Cruz County flourish,” Napoli said in a press release.

The Small Business Development Center at Cabrillo College, 6500 Soquel Drive, provides services for present and potential small business owners. Its mission is to provide management and technical assistance for small businesses. All of the center’s counseling services are confidential and free of charge.
